Born in Atlanta, Georgia, D. Ranger Jackson received his B.S. in Business Administration from Shorter University in Rome, GA in 2010 magna cum laude where he was honored as an Academic All-American while a member of Shorter’s Baseball and Golf team. Ranger earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2013. During law school, he interned for the State Attorney’s Office, 6th Judicial Circuit; Jabil Circuit, a fortune 200 company based in St. Petersburg, Florida; and the United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida.
Following law school, Ranger worked as an Assistant State Attorney where he prosecuted over 50 jury trials, including complex white collar crime and homicides. During his tenure, he was promoted to the head of the electronic investigations unit where he collaborated with state and federal agencies as well as companies such as Facebook and Google to solve and prosecute crimes using the latest investigative techniques. He also utilized his ability to speak Spanish to communicate with witnesses and victims.
Ranger was recently certified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States, by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and consults with large companies to ensure compliance with workplace privacy and state privacy laws. Ranger now works Of Counsel for Jennis Law, where he utilizes his extensive litigation background to assist the firm in complex litigation and bankruptcy matters. In Ranger’s spare time, he enjoys fishing, golfing and hiking.
